The Lion City or the Garden City, Singapore is one of the most prominent tourist destination in South- East Asia. And if you are thinking going that far for 3 or 4 days won’t be enough, you need to give this piece a read.

So, If you are looking for a short holiday, and you don’t want to end up feeling sad about booking flights to an island somewhere in the Arabian Sea or even a cheap holiday destination right here in India, look no further as Singapore- the dynamic country/ state/ city is just a short flight away. The first western world for Indians, as I must say.

With an extensive combination of Malay, Indians and Chinese, this country is profoundly influenced by some cultures, and as far as I could see, it can most aptly be described as a mix cultural pot. Singapore is all about delicious food, high-end street shopping, a lot of art and many more things that can make you ogle all the time.

Without further a due let’s glide into my three-day itinerary that will help you explore the best of Singapore.

DAY 01:

What would be better but to begin your trip walking past the Suntec City Mall, feeling all tiny in front of the high-rise buildings and soaking in all the sun while you make your way to the Merlion Park?

Ecstatic, isn’t it?

Such was my feeling. Arriving in the world’s greatest country and city- state was a wonderful experience and then taking a walk in the sun was a cherry on the cake. The buildings were well planned, standing tall like giants and when Anna narrated the stories of the past, it made me wonder how these people managed to bring out the best of the world here in a single country.

After a swift walk through the city, I found myself standing beside the half- fish, half- lion statue that is known to be the trademark of the country. Watching it spout water out in all its glory, I was inhaling all the Singaporean vibes glancing past the river. And with the Marina Bay standing tall right in front of me, I was in love.

Later, we took the bumboat river cruise that highlighted how Singapore raced time and is counted amongst the best countries of the world.

After a soulful ride in the bumboat, we boarded our bus to visit the Gardens by the Bay. A feast for your eyes, the gardens will take your heart by storm. They follow a theme every time and it was blue when I visited. Imagine a long stretch of land covered with all things blue…ummm.. beautiful!

I spent a good amount of time here clicking pictures meeting school kids and watching a girl dressed up in a little tutu skirt twirl like a princess.

Little did I know that the next destination was going to be a thriller, we arrived at the Night Safari. Getting an opportunity to see all wild animals right in front of you in their natural habitat is a dream come true. Woah! That gave me chills down my spine.

Taking an exciting tram ride here, this place gave us an up-close animal encounter. To scare you a little, the animals were not in cages.

DAY 02:

The flyer my love!

We woke up at ease in the morning, got dressed and left for the Singapore flyer. It was a moving experience on every turn. The only place to give you a bird’s eye view of the entire city, the flyer is a must visit. I could feel the thunder there and watch the clouds that were bringing in the rain. It was magical.

And we left for Sentosa post lunch. It seems like a trip to Singapore cannot be done without the state of fun. I acted goofy at the Madame Tussauds here (You know it because you’ve seen the Bond girl go crazy,) hopped in the Tiger Sky Tower, and watched the Wings of Time show.

Day 03:

UNIVERSAL!!

My heart lies here because it was Minions and the Battlestar Galactica I went for. Human vs. Cyclone, the duelling roller coasters at the Universal were my only rides. Even if you would have wandered the entire place, you will find me right there.

Apart from this, I strolled down the Hollywood Boulevard and its walk of fame, ate turkey legs and stood in no pain queues for the rides.

This is the place for you if you want to be spoilt for choice.

So, what do you think?

Is Singapore worth your visit?

Tell me in the comments guys!

If you go there and you need to make the best of your visit, try signing in for perks from Veena World. I am sure they are the best in the market.

How can I say that?

I took this trip with them.

Until my next post and a lot of Malaysia and Thailand coming,
Lots of Love
